Screensaver

For
the last two or three years we've had an Aloha Screensaver collection here that
required that you also download the "webshots" screensaver manager
program.
My
thanks to Pat Drummond who has pointed out that for Windows XP users there's an
easier way to set up a screensaver using any photos you have and it's built
right into Windows XP!
-
First,
download and run this self-extracting
"zip" file of the photos included in the 2006 Aloha Owners
Calendar
- Next, go to Start >> Settings
>> Ctrl Panel >> Display >> Screensaver >> or
right-click on a blank area of your desktop and select Settings >>
Screensaver >>
- In the screensaver
drop-down list, select "My pictures slideshow"
- Click on "Settings", and
find the folder with your photos. If you want to use the pictures from the
file above and you extracted them to the default directory, they will be
in c:\aloha_saver
- You may want to adjust the rate at which the
images change, the size to 100%, and also tick the "Stretch Small
Pictures" checkbox.
- Click OK
- Click "Preview" to see
what it looks like. Any mouse movement or key press will stop the preview.
-
If
you have other photos that you'd like to add to the screensaver slideshow,
put a copy in the same directory. Likewise, if you get bored with any of the
supplied pictures, just delete them from that folder.
