A28 (8.5) - Ondine

| Although
she carries hull number 023, "Sonset" (now renamed "Ondine")
was one of the first
Alohas, and was displayed at the Detroit Boat Show. We believe Aloha 28
(8.5) numbering may have started at "020" rather than zero, or
possibly that this boat is the first A28. |
In the
"rush" to have the boat ready for the show, Ouyang seem not to
have had time to have an "Aloha" plate made and used this
"Matilda" plate instead |

Since acquiring the
boat, Tom Schraeder has put significant effort into restoring the
brightwork, bottom painting, etc and also installed a Garhauer cabin-top
mainsheet traveller - see
his article describing this project. |
