Replacing running rigging & sheets
« on: May 29, 2020, 01:08:41 AM »
Wondering if anyone has replaced jib sheets, main sheets and halliards recently ... any recommended type / brand?  Last year I just went to West Marine and got basic stuff for my new reef lines but figured I'd ask about the rest of it from you all

Thanks

I used Yacht Braid from Binnacle

https://ca.binnacle.com/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=yacht+braid&osCsid=gq0el8spgpnc3v1s6bqkmp9hm3&search.x=0&search.y=0

I'm not racing so I don't need Dynema or Spectra or any other high tech ropes

I have all double braid polyester on board. Some version of yacht braid. Works well for almost everything
I am considering a low stretch option for the jib halyard especially. Since it's up all year on the Furler I though it would hold better over time. Will post back if I decide on anything. They so have intermediate lines that cost much less and are a big improvement over regular double braid.
