FORUM TIPS - Using "Search" & "Advanced Search"
« on: May 07, 2006, 01:37:19 PM »
As the number of topics and messages grows, it can become more difficult to find topics you know you've seen covered. I'm trying to make sure we have meaningful Subject names on every topic, and I will split into two any discussions which cover more than one subject to make things easier to find.

Better still, the Forum software includes a simple and powerful search facility accessible from just about every page. Just below the User Info box you'll see a simple search box into which you can type a single word or phrase and click "Search". Alternatively, clicking on "Advanced Search" leads to a page where you can set search parameters to search for "all" or "any" of the words, choose to search only certain boards, search by author, etc as well as specifying how the results will be displayed.
